This acetylene lighter failed to impress me during my tests as it consistently produced weak flames that were insufficient for most industrial applications. While it is easy to use and has a simple design, it lacks the power needed for serious industrial work. As my tests showed, this lighter simply doesn't have the quality or durability needed in the Industrial and Scientific industry.
So far, so good. This is a large flame turbo flashlight with a built in piezo ignition in the tip. Plumbing friends say the igniter may wear out after 3-5 years of commercial use, but the tip is still fine. Just use the flint stick to ignite it. We use this for 1-2 inch copper tubing. Remember to clean the tip regularly.
