They are small, difficult to fill and the bottom doesn't fit. Some of the shiny ones have a metallic finish and I'm not sure if they're food safe or will not stain over time so I won't be using them. The only positive is that the grinder works really well so I'm keeping a few out of the kit.

This product looks great on my countertop as a decorative item, but it sacrifices functionality. Very difficult to use. I have no regrets buying them as they look great as decoration on a countertop. I use other products that actually work like paper shredders.

These grinders are well made and very attractive. The only reason for four stars and not five is that the bottom cannot be screwed onto the top. They fit snug enough that I hope this won't be a problem, but the round part of the trap/bin releases by simply pulling, not twisting. As mentioned, the pepper hole is also a bit small. I haven't had a problem with pepper, but I can't use it for nutmeg, cardamom or Himalayan salt chunks as I was hoping. BUT - they are so cute that I will get creative…
