When trying to take a picture, oversaturated but very legible and not too bright. Colors are vibrant and not washed out at all. Very satisfied.

I understand this is not an expensive product but I'm still disappointed, mine fell out three days after it was fitted to my motorhome. Three days he worked. It was accurate to 0.2 volts so it helped me get a better idea of my batteries' DOD when docked. I did an autopsy and didn't see anything burned on the little circuit board inside, but it's just dead as a nail.

First off, the product has a nice, intuitive display and seems pretty accurate. However, electric shovels are easily damaged when subjected to wire movement, they don't have a large rim to keep water out and room for error when cutting out a vessel, and worst of all, they are NOT WATERPROOF. My device lasted 3 weeks in the weather before moisture got onto the screen and it crashed. Purchased to install my Weekend Warrior's electrical control box in my range hood. Fits absolutely great. The 1 1/8" hole saw was the ticket (which I already had). There is an instant "monitor" switch which when pressed shows the level of the electrical system and when connected to it it just glows up when I want it. The display is great! My 4 x 6v batteries read 13.56 volts with a multimeter and the meter showed 13.5 volts - great! Much better than 4 nasty bars for battery status!

The sensor itself seems to work well. I installed it on the boat. This is a custom size so it will not fit a traditional gauge hole if you plan to change the gauge. I used a 2" hole saw and it fitted well. The main problem with the gauge is that it is difficult to read the numbers unless the gauge is in a shaded area. I bought this battery gauge for our small camping trailer to monitor the battery level when offline camping. I originally bought a more expensive "top brand" sensor to use, but it wouldn't arrive in time for our trip, so in the meantime I've ordered this one. After some time of use I realize how useful it is. It displays the voltage as well as a percentage based on the voltage number. At first I ordered another voltmeter from another supplier for almost twice the price of this device, but it was complete junk. I sent this one back and ordered this one and am glad I did. It's small, which is what I wanted for my particular setup. Just look at the sizes so you know what you're getting. For reference, the toggle switch installed side-by-side is 1"(H) x 2"(W) and the actual screen/display size of the device is approximately a quarter. (sorry for the bad photo quality)

1. The diameter of the gauge was slightly larger than the original 12V CIG connector in my car. It took a bit of dremel work, but I actually like that it's stronger, not weaker.
