I didn't notice much of a difference in throughput, but I definitely heard a difference in sound enhancement that helps with the bass not being absorbed by the table my turntable sits on.

These are just hard dense pieces of foam with a nice looking wood trim on one side. They do little to nothing to help tonearm bounce from floor vibration. They might fit a 100 pound turntable, but not the average player that weighs only 15-20 pounds.
