Does what it's supposed to do

After all, it's a bolt with a magnet inside. Other than that it fits as it should, the magnet is very strong for its size and has a very low profile. In other words, he does what he has to do. The bolt and magnet price seems a bit high, but how much lower can it be?

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Attention photo oil tanks

oil leak. I left my bike for six months in the winter because I thought there was a big problem. It drained my klr650. As soon as it warmed up I found out it was this screw. Went to Partzilla to find an OEM screw. Now everything is in order. Glue a screw that works. Maybe upgrade the scepter at some point.

Pros
  • Hands-free work
Cons
  • Write later

DO NOT BUY! fits oil tanks

Cracked and leaking on first use. I went to my usual mechanic who changes the oil for a recent change to the bike. A huge puddle of oil under a motorcycle. The morning before work I had to install the factory in my driveway so I could get to work. The bicycle is my most important means of transport. Unacceptable!

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Quality

Not as strong as it should be.

I'll start by saying I initially liked this drain plug and I'll admit I never use a torque wrench when topping up oil. On my third oil change with this bolt, I noticed a slight leak. Naturally, my first reaction was to tighten the bolt. The leak continued so I changed the washer but that didn't help. I drained the oil again and noticed a crack in the screw. I have owned several different bikes over the past 25 years and have never seen one like this before. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Minor issues

Discard the included steel washer

It should make my oil drain less likely to catch on anything on my KLR and should be easy to install and remove for an oil change. Looks good, should be machined with a good sharp tool, thread surface will rattle a bit and everything should work great EXCEPT the washer provided is steel and not soft. To be effective, crush washers need to be softer than the base metal, and steel is definitely harder than aluminum. I suggest replacing it with a soft aluminum washer or an annealed copper washerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
