After trying this product, I am thoroughly impressed with its magnetic power. It holds securely to any flat surface making welding so much easier. The only downside is that it's a bit on the expensive side. Overall, a great addition to any welding toolbox.

I bought this to weld several sheet metal blanks together. I was welding on a concrete floor so this was the best way to attach the ground clip. I can see that the magnet might not be strong enough on a vertical surface.

I've been using a magnetic grounding plug for 10 years. Finally I replaced the clamps on two other welders I use. I should have done this much sooner. The bottom magnet makes for a great connection and saves me a lot of time moving work pieces.
