I am very happy with these pliers. I went shopping looking for a new pair. Thought I would upgrade and it was definitely worth the extra money. I was a bit confused at first because others always had a pivot element in the middle. It took a few tries to get used to the hinge. They are very sharp and do their job well, especially in tight spaces. Quick Tip: If you have trouble putting the cap on, simply squeeze the handles, put the cap back on and release the handles. This keeps it nice and tidy

I must have gotten a lemon with these wire cutters because I don't share the same experience as the other reviewers. They grabbed my cuticles and the stye sliced through them. They are also shorter than my other Tweezerman wire cutters. The ends reach the middle of my palm and it gets painful. I went back to my old wire cutters although they've gotten a little boring and now I've waited too long to get them back so I need to cut my losses and buy another pair.

This version (Gold Studio Collection) of the Tweezerman cuticle nippers made in India has none of the qualities of the original line made in Germany. The product I received lacks the weight and quality design that has made this nail tool so successful. The edges appear sharp, but do not close with force. You are a disappointment. Wouldn't recommend it.
