Poor quality in Spade

Looks good but once connected it's impossible to separate them (female and male). The dimple is proud of the jack. The recess secures the male blade by engaging the hole in the blade. Nothing good. I ripped a few apart just to separate them.

Good selection and lots of them

I make many 12v upgrades and additions to my van and they have proven useful. You will need a crimping tool to properly crimp these types of contacts. I bought this inexpensive crimping tool kit (see picture) from Revain and it crimps pretty much anything: https://amzn.to/32bcJDY.

Pros
  • Nylon Insulating Sleeves, High conductivity, Anti-oxidation, Strong enough for your use, Suitable for crimp terminals, Safe to use.
Cons
  • Damaged

No problem with pressing. Loose Ferrule

Contrary to other reviews, I had no trouble crimping small (about 20-22 ga) wires to a 2.8 gauge plug. I used a 0.5mm2 crimp die 1601-10. The crimper was manufactured by Paron Tools. The wire and insulation appear to be very reliable. However, the sleeve, which fits loosely over the plug, didn't shrink when I used my hair dryer. The nylon softened and looked like it would shrink around the connector, but it didn't. If anyone can suggest a solution to this problem, I'm very interested.

Pros
  • Spade Terminals and Spade Terminals are available in three different sizes: 2.8mm/4.8mm/6.3mm, perfect for 22-14 gauge wire, different sizes can meet your different needs.
Cons
  • New Competitors Have Popped Up

Good, but could be better

The metal terminals are exactly as expected, a perfect fit, metal crimps well with no signs of cracking and holds the wire securely. I use a very basic crimping tool and have had no problems. However, insulated boots are too big - they don't stay on the woman without adding something to hold them in place - they don't just pull them off, they fall onto the wire under their own weight. I put heat shrink tubing on the connectors but that only doubled the build time and would have been a real…

Pros
  • Packing: 30 pieces each of 2.8mm/4.8mm/6.3mm pin and socket terminals and 30 pieces each of 2.8mm/4.8mm/6.3mm insulating sleeves packed in a plastic box
Cons
  • Doubtful
