Great for cleaning out the freezer from frozen fruit!

I had a lot of fruit in my freezer from a lazy baker in the family, so I decided to think global and act local! I made gallons of wine and rubbed it in their faces, drunk on their blueberries and cherries. I'm back to beer, but sometimes I still make wine. In my method, I used a nail and made a hole in the lids of the gallon cans, then used a glue stick and lighter to glue them to the lid.

Pros
  • Made of durable plastic
Cons
  • Style 90

A must for home brewing

Nothing wrong with the airlock but I am definitely happy with this set of airlocks and the price is also pretty good compared to buying the same product at a brewery store. For those of you who are not very familiar with airlocks, this is a device that is essential when brewing beer, wine, mead, etc. You fill it with water halfway up the line. Way through two bubbles and you put it on top of the fermenter. The airlock allows the gas from the fermentation to escape without letting in air andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Twin Bubble lets CO2 escape
Cons
  • Disappears

Good homebrew water seal and stocking filler

Let's see if I liked that a little more. I honestly do not know. It's easier to work with because you don't have to assemble three separate parts. You simply fill it up to the "max" mark with vodka or disinfectant, put the lid on and place it in the fermentation vessel. It's a bit simpler than the three-piece models, but it's like saying one doorknob turns easier than another. I used this on a new yeast starter and it worked fine until the yeast in it started going a little crazy. Then the lock

Pros
  • Suitable for lined bucket lids, perforated rubber stoppers or plugs
Cons
  • No.
