I have relied on this set to ensure clear communication in relatively noisy outdoor environments with the occasional wind. It turns out that in such circumstances the microphone delivers incomprehensible communication. Wouldn't recommend it. Instead I will try a genuine Motorola branded device that works well in my organization (Motorola model NNTN8459).

The comfort of the earphones combined with the sound quality when receiving and transmitting is excellent for such an inexpensive earphone. Now I wear it almost continuously during my 12 hour tours and I have to say I'm very pleasantly surprised at how well it works and how comfortable it is after such a long shift. You can spend more money investing in a custom piece but I seriously doubt what you get will be much better than what you get from this little gem. I highly recommend this product!

This earphone/microphone is a very reliable accessory for any security/law enforcement agency using the radios listed. The sound clarity is great, the fit is comfortable (I also bought Zeadio ear tips for comfort), and this product has lasted 2.5 years. I have to repurchase the item due to wear and tear on the wired connection next to the radio port BUT I still highly recommend this product. I've been using this setup for about 6 months and love it. I had no problems with that. If you're in law enforcement, this is a great option.
