Bought this for my daughter because the lens cap also covers the electrical wires on the LED which wasn't such a big issue with my grow lights. I still need to coat everything better but the lens, heatsink and fan were better quality than I expected and now I realize I should have ordered that for myself in the first place instead of doing everything myself. If you are going to get a pure COB LED light with or without a driver this block is essential to protect the light and electronics cool. The lens works great too, with minor modifications for some COBs. I could have made a DIY heatsink for less money, but the time it took to drill the right holes, tap threads, and install screws wasn't worth the $24. I am very disappointed that I received the unit with a factory defect so it cannot be assembled. There doesn't seem to be any quality control, otherwise I don't understand how such a gross error could have gone unnoticed. There are four mounting screws that must be screwed into the four corresponding threads/threaded holes on the front of the cooler housing; Screws are used to attach the lens and LED block to the heatsink.
