Works great - fan motors

Fan motor resistor failed on my 2007 Honda Odyssey. I've read that they often fail because the fan motor fails and draws too much current, so I replaced the fan assembly as well. Due to the price (compared to Honda OEM) I didn't have high expectations but it works great - very quiet and great airflow - hope it lasts.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Not sure

Looks just like the ones I took.

I bought a used Odyssey (3rd owner) so I don't know if it has ever been replaced. But I do not think so. I also replaced the included electronic do-hicky (thermoresistor). like a fan, no background noise. Now that I think about it, no, I replaced the original fan. like that . was eleven years old. Now is the time. Also, I mean IDENTITY.

Pros
  • Nicely packaged
Cons
  • Damaged

Good replacement. Not precise design and noisy.

Although this fan fits perfectly and was recommended for my 2006 Honda Ridgeline, its design is slightly different: it lacks the plastic protector that protects the harness connection from passenger and engine impacts. The motor is much louder than the factory fan motor that I replaced. I'll leave it for now, but I can replace it later if the noise starts to bother me.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • The Secret

Easy to install - engine cooling and air conditioning

I am satisfied with this product. it was easy to swap out and works great. The fans run at full speed and blow very well. The only thing you hear is a slight whirring noise when spinning, but I think that's normal. it can't be absolutely quiet, it's not a rolls-royce. but my old one made a very noticeable ticking noise when it was running, which thank goodness has disappeared. also sometimes my old one had to be kicked to make it work. so it didn't go well.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Large and bulky

2006 Honda Odyssey worked great

I just finished installing on our 2006 Honda Odyssey, took 20-30 minutes to install. The fit was perfect, works great and sounds quiet even at full power with lots of airflow. The old one would turn on and then stop working unless you hit the motor case hard then it would turn on again so I figured it was time to replace it. I'm told that the brushes on the motor wear out and therefore it will turn back on if hit or hit hard on the road.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Updates available

how many people have complained about it

I bought this for my '06 Honda Ridgeline. It was defective but I sent it back with no problems and got a new one. It made a noise when I first put it in, which many have complained about. I pulled it back out and checked what the problem was. Rubbed in the smallest places under the dashboard. Yes, it could be fixed by the manufacturer, but do you know what I did? I solved the problem myself! I only sanded it down about a millimeter and now it's completely quiet! More than worth the price!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not automatic

2 year fan motor life

I have a love hate relationship with my wife's 2010 Honda Odyssey Touring and anyone who has dealt with a Honda VCM issue will understand some of the hate. Luckily I like the front HVAC aspect of this car because it's pretty easy to work with and this fan is an example of that. at the same time original. It installs easily in less than 10 minutes with a short slotted or (torx or hex I think) screwdriver, fits perfectly from the factory, runs quietly and produces the same air volume as the…

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
