So far, so good! All systems work cool

Well I bought it and installed it late April or early May. So far, so good! All systems work great! I'm pretty sure he came without a hat. It seemed strange. Even though it was old, it's ok.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Excellent replacement OEM

My old radar had a micro crack at the very top, just under the cover. Simply removing the old radar and installing a new one went quickly, but then I discovered I had exhaust fumes in my coolant so it looks like a head gasket is needed as well.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • New Competitors

Not exactly an exact match.

Got this for my 2001 Forester. While it fits snugly, the fan's screw holes aren't aligned on one side. The top mounting screws are also misaligned, causing the brackets to sit skewed. While it doesn't fit exactly, it's a good temporary fix.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Slightly dented

The nut and bolt fit perfectly on my 2001 Forester

All the parts, nuts and bolts fit perfectly on my 2001 Forester. Even the coolant drain valve is identical. The fan holes fit perfectly. The work wasn't difficult. The radar was packed in strong cardboard and well protected. Installed today. Saved about $100 over auto parts and probably about $400 on installation. This brand is recommended on the Subaru forums. Will be updated if it fails.

Pros
  • . Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Works best in radiators

Fits my 2000 Forester snugly. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is that the drain plug practically came loose when I tried to take it out. I only put a factory plug in, so it's not a big deal. Also, the "pillars" where you attach the grommets are smaller than those on the factory radiator, which leaves the grommets a bit loose. Not that big of a deal either, but these 2 things kept it from getting 5 stars in my opinion. Other than that I've driven it a few hundred miles and itโ€ฆ

Factory installed and easy replacement.

This heatsink is one of the best aftermarket units and I'll even go as far as to say it's better than the factory, so I bought this, the original 16 a year to the car after all torn at the seam and leaking. If you're mechanically gifted enough you should be able to get this job done in about an hour, just make sure you have the tools you need to get started. So you don't have to look for them. My problem was that I didn't have as much spare antifreeze as I thought I would, so I had to hop inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Nothing here

Precise fit, no leakage.

This radiator was called the KOYORAD 2402. It was as close to the original as one could wish for. The core looked exactly like the original to me and everything was perfect for a hassle free fitment to my 1999 Subaru Forester. It was packaged in a double box with an extra cardboard backing attached to the heatsink. A few tips: 1. It is handy to have two drain pans, one for coolant and one for transmission oil cooler (TOC) oil at the bottom of the radiator.2. When disconnecting the TOCโ€ฆ
