affordable replacement

This product was great. It was difficult to install, but it had nothing to do with the product, just the design of the car.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Style 90

Very important! Fits perfectly! Take your time!

Perfect fit. Corresponds to the original part. Cheaper than Honda parts. The only difficulty is the installation. Expect 45-60 minutes. Check out the YouTube video if you have no experience! Honda didn't intend to make the 1st generation C-RV easy to install.

Finally fresh air! - filter

so this filter was for my honda 99 crv. Unfortunately, this was before "open the glove box and change the filter" became commonplace among manufacturers, so you'll have to disassemble it a bit. But it's worth it. The original owners didn't know the car had a cabin air filter and the old one was disgusting. It fits directly onto the original filter. It will need some stretching depending on how warped your frame is.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • nothing here

Fits 1999 Honda CR-V Perfect

Perfect for my 1999 Honda CR-V. It's a tricky job due to the design and placement of the cabin air filter on these 1st gen CR-Vs (1998-2001), but if you watch a few YouTube videos like I did you can get the hang of it have. This took about an hour including vacuuming all debris out of the nest before reinstalling the new filter. The old one was dirty and clogged, so the air system works about 5 times better than before the filter change. Very happy with the results. Thank you TYC for a great…

Cabin Filter Honda CRV 1997-2001

You will appreciate this new filter and you will berate Honda Corp for the really bad design of the place where it is installed in 1997-2001 Honda CRVs . To replace the filter, you have to partially remove the glove box, remove the dashboard cover, remove a few pieces of metal, then you have enough clearance to take out the old one. Don't be surprised if it's moldy and disgusting as it's likely never been replaced since the car left the factory due to the amount of work it takes to change the…

Pros
  • is understandable even for old people

  • makes angry

The product worked great and fit right where the oem filter was

The product worked great and went right where the oem filter was. So the product was great as described but you should be aware that installing one of these products in a 2001 Honda CRV can be quite a job. I highly recommend searching Youtube for information on how to change the cabin air filter on a 2001 Honda CRV. For the most part, everything is pretty basic, except for the metal bar that holds the glove box hinges. This was supposed to be unhooked on the right hand side and then lowered…
