I didn't really appreciate the cabin filter and thought it was another way to make money for the manufacturers. But after the California wildfires turned the air at a local casino into a smoke pit, I thought it best to take a look. The attached photo shows the original filter next to the TYC replacement. I've just ordered another one and will try it more often. Lots of value and a bit of intelligence knowing it actually filters the cabin air.

I have just bought a neatly used 2017 Kia Sorento LX and am considering getting new air filters for it. Not only was this cabin air filter inexpensive compared to other $20 and up, it had great reviews. i understand why Installation took less than 5 minutes and looks a lot like a factory Kia filter. It was easy to install. I was amazed at how dirty the original filter was! This photo should be proof that you need to change your filter! I will buy again in a year for another replacement!

On my last oil change the dealer told me the cabin air filter needed replacing (only 5,000 miles on the car). Showed me an old, quite dirty filter. As? 35 dollars! No thanks, I'll change it myself. A little impressed. I bought one of these TYCs for our RAV4 and one for Sorento at the same time. One for RAV was disappointing. It had far fewer wrinkles and was difficult to install. This one appeared to have the same number of folds and was easier to install. [Adjustment is an auto function, not a filter] I will use next time.
