🧭 5-Piece Liquid Filled Zipper Pull Compass Set for Paracord Projects and Bug-Out Bags (2nd Generation) - Type-III Review

Bought for a nature walk for grades 2-4. They're not quite accurate, but they're close enough that students really get excited about them. They like to constantly check our direction on walks. They're a little smaller than I'd like, but for a small hand, they work.

I bought this product and was dying to try it due to the many negative reviews about cheap compasses. First, the compass needs to be outside to work properly, second, it needs to be level so it can hover evenly. After testing each of them, I found that all 5 work flawlessly and accurately. I recommend oh and the delivery was very fast.

These are cheap compasses with small knobs that cost around $1.20 each. I didn't expect much for the price. After a little wobble, all 5 pointed in roughly the same direction and matched my Suunto M3-Global. I bought these primarily to attach to a mini keychain survival kit I put together for day trips (this 5 piece set was cheaper than similar ones individually). I zip one up on my backpack, just in case. They won't guide you, but they will point you in the right general direction.

I bought these to zip on my jacket and use as a treat for my kids when they have worked hard for me around the house and at school. My kids really wanted one of these and they loved it. These things are accurate enough and I haven't had any problems with stripped strings so far. For the price you can't go wrong. Very handy and it helped my kids to think about direction and understand where they are in relation to other places they are familiar with. It was great fun to have her around.

First I ordered 2 packs (10 pieces) of these things - enough to close all my outdoor coats and jackets. When they arrived I laid them all out on my desk looking for outliers but there weren't any. These are small and cheap compasses so don't expect them to be accurate. However, they all worked well enough to give you a general idea of direction, and work very well for my intended purpose: hanging them on the zipper of a child's coat to help them with outdoor activities like hiking, direction to learn.
