Buy Original Equipment from the Manufacturer

I bought this to replace an original Mercury water pump and it varies quite a bit in quality. My biggest concern is the lower water pump seal. The original had a sealing surface of about 3/8 inch. The lower seal in the Sierra case has a single (very thin) lip. I will be using it while waiting for a Mercury lower seal replacement. If I had to do it all over again I would buy a Mercury kit. I don't want to risk water getting into the bottom block.

Pros
  • Engine Cooling & Air Conditioning
Cons
  • Volume
