Perfect fit, no looseness or tightness. I would say it is true to size. We test this water shoe in very harsh environments, with shells, rocks, bones, sticks etc. This is one of our many water shoe models and it looks like they hold together well. So, our family has a bunch of shoes of this style. We're all different brands and each has a slightly different fit, but they're all pretty much the same. This particular pair had blisters on the ankles, which is a shame because we like to wear our water shoes on summer hikes in places where we have to cross streams or when it's raining.
