Best value for money

I bought it for HVAC work. I've seen some people using similar temperature readers. Overall I thought it was the best bang for my buck. Luckily I was right. i love this shop Get the job done with no hassle every time. Easy to use, easy to read and well done.

Pros
  • Country of origin: China
Cons
  • Style 90

The best fast HVAC thermometer.

Quick and easy thermometer for that HVAC service technician. This thermometer deviates by less than 1 degree from 0.6 to 0.7 over several months of use. With the articulated probe, it is easy to use even in hard-to-reach places. The yellow color helps the device stand out from the hardware you're testing, which is a great feature, especially if you left three of these in the air duct last year like I did.

Pros
  • Built-in magnetic mount
Cons
  • Zero

Ideal for HVAC thermometers

Use this all the time to measure air temperature in ducts. Never had any problems and always correct. I've found that my Fluke multimeter's probe can be very sensitive when my meter is cold or warm. I found it very reliable. I would buy this again if I had to. I tried the inflexible UEI and all the timings were very inaccurate. I have had two of these foldables and they have always been accurate. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Easy to use product
Cons
  • Protection

Slow temperature logging

I received this thermometer to check the temperature of my tea water after my Taylor thermometer started going off by 20 degrees! This thermometer is not that pretty but very durable. I like the feature that allows it to be attached or hung to a surface. I also like that the probe can be folded up for storage. The only disadvantage is that the temperature registration takes a long time. Another thermometer registered fairly quickly; This goes up one second at a time. Lots of waiting time.

Pros
  • True RMS for accurate readings in all applications
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

So far so good for testing, measuring and checking

I bought 2 of these in 2015 to measure the supply air temperature in my HVAC system. I recently noticed that every device has a low battery indicator so I installed new batteries and they work like new. Aside from one device being off the other by 1 degree and being a little hard to read due to the dim lighting of where they were installed, these thermometers have performed great so far. I am very pleased with them and look forward to many more years of service from them.

Pros
  • Digital thermometer
Cons
  • Modern

Better than expected!

I have been using this pocket thermometer for a few weeks now. First of all the quality is way better than I expected, it has an auto shut off and a max/min temperature button which I absolutely love! I just installed a new heat pump and I want to see what temperature is coming out of the vents. With Max/Min I don't have to stand and watch. I also really like the magnetic fixation. That way I can stick it in the roof vent and it stays there! Anyone who has ever designed this understands how…

Pros
  • Durable product
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Maybe I'm wrong: Digital thermometers

This is a good compact thermometer and the magnetic strips on the back are a good idea, but the readings are far from normal and keep bouncing around. To make matters worse, there's no way to calibrate it. I'm comparing it to a Fieldpiece SPK2 (which is very similar and much better quality) and a Fluke meter with a probe, so it's probably considered acceptable given the lower cost. After looking at a picture showing the exposed thermocouple wires, I'm wondering if mine was soldered incorrectly…

Pros
  • Auto shut off
Cons
  • unreliable

Very disappointing. This device advertises that it's rated for temperatures up to 570 degrees, but the cheap plastic it's made of actually melts below 500 degrees. For me it melted about 450 degrees when taking the temperature of the stack - The plastic covering around the base of the probe swelled and then melted and sagged. The use of the air conditioning is OK. Heating is out of order. A star. Does not match stated skills. I understand that internal components (PCB, soldered leads, etc.) can
