Review on 🌡️ UEi Test Instruments PDT650: Compact Folding Pocket Digital Thermometer - Accurate & Convenient Temperature Reading (Yellow) by Sirious Cavalli

Very disappointing. This device advertises that it's rated for temperatures up to 570 degrees, but the cheap plastic it's made of actually melts below 500 degrees. For me it melted about 450 degrees when taking the temperature of the stack - The plastic covering around the base of the probe swelled and then melted and sagged. The use of the air conditioning is OK. Heating is out of order. A star. Does not match stated skills. I understand that internal components (PCB, soldered leads, etc.) can never be expected to withstand 572 degrees, but the sensor and its (plastic) case should do it!
