Good way to spend the day

It was amazing! Take your time and read the front page instructions first, make sure you have some wax on hand (really helps) and follow the well illustrated instructions. Take the time to sand down the burrs to make them look really nice. Great project for yourself, or if you have young children, teaching them to follow directions with the help of an adult.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Disappear

My winter hobby: jigsaw puzzles

This is my tenth Ungears jigsaw puzzle. I have now been retired for eight years and January through March is the most difficult time of the year to stay employed. This is a great project. My wife says they look like works of art. Visitors are interested in looking at them. Assembly is not easy, you need to be very careful when removing parts. I wouldn't call them durable and the kid wouldn't play with them.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not bad

Parts don't fit right together save you money and frustration

I would not recommend this product to anyone, it was a waste of my $40 and a waste of my time. The male ends were too big to fit the female parts, you will need to either sand them down or snip them with a razor blade to get them to the right size. I have made many of these from many other companies and have never had this problem, would not recommend this to anyone, save your money go to another company.

Pros
  • hands free operation

I had to go back. Best at Puzzles

Unfortunately I had to send this one back because the connecting pin ends of the pieces were just millimeters/too big that they wouldn't go into the sockets unless you shaved them off with a razor blade. After about the 15th track I just decided to come back. I put together a more complex move from Ugears and had no problems so loved it. Perhaps the laser cutting machines just needed to be recalibrated that day. I want to try again but I'm afraid I'll get another one from the same wrong batch…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Minor issues

COVID Shutdown: A fun and challenging brain activity

I started working from home when COVID-19 protections were rolled out in my office. I've been looking for something more difficult, I've seen ads for 3D puzzles, I've checked multiple brands and manufacturers. UGears has the best wood quality currently, the design is well thought out, however I gave it a 4 instead of 5 as some small parts need to be folded and not waxed to fit. They provided extra materials (which is really awesome!) but I have to glue them together if the extra piece is…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Useless features

Great puzzle but the pieces are too tight

I am an avid 3D puzzle designer. I've probably made over 1000 different types of 3D puzzles, from wood to paper to Cubicfun and the like. I ran out of new mysteries when I saw an ad for UGEARS models. Stagecoach was my first build with UGEARS and I really enjoyed the process. My only complaint, and the reason I only give it 3 stars instead of 5, is the tight fit of some parts. Even using wax as suggested the parts didn't fit properly. I had to resort to filing and/or sanding the parts to fit…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
