Great adapter to bypass the noisy microphone input on the motherboard!

I bought this adapter to bypass microphone noise on the ASUS x99 Sabertooth motherboard. After hours of troubleshooting my mic hiss/background noise, I came across a very interesting detail - even without a mic plugged into the jack, the hissing could be heard with "Listen to this device" enabled! This noise could be heard during VoIP calls and gaming sessions, and while you could hear my voice through the noise, it was very annoying. Microphone, but I had no problems with the microphone level.

Pros
  • Practical stereo audio adapter: It protects against electromagnetic interference and ensures stable and best sound quality. It is quite suitable for Skype / ICQ / Google Hangouts / TeamSpeak, also suitable as a second sound source for the simultaneous use of loudspeakers and headphones.

Wow External Sound Cards

Wow. You don't really know you need something until you buy it. I bought a new Dell 3650. I have Logitech Z323 2.1 speakers (two satellites and a subwoofer) connected to my computer. When I turned the volume control above 50%, I heard static coming out of my speakers. In doing so, I came to the conclusion that I had stumbled upon a defective Dell. So the next day I replaced it with the exact same model Dell 3650. Although even on a recently replaced PC I noticed that the same static noise was…

Pros
  • The perfect sound card option, the UGREEN USB Audio Adapter is ideal for replacing a failed sound card or audio port. You can connect your existing headphones, headsets, loudspeakers or microphones with a 3.5 mm jack to your computer via the USB interface.
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Speaker audio goes into microphone input

Edit: I found out that the problem is called "crosstalk" and is related to the transmission of audio signals across a common ground. This isn't unique to this device, but I'm leaving my review as a warning as this is most likely to happen when using headphones instead of powered speakers. Generally, if you run into a problem, the workaround is to try isolating the connections, e.g. B. by connecting your headphones with USB audio as input to the headphone jack on your laptop. I bought one of…

Wonderful! Fixes all my current audio needs

First - I'm old. i am frugal I am stubborn. I have (please don't laugh here) an older homebuilt XP Pro desktop computer. He has a very strong SB! Sound card is no longer supported after Win 7.0 so I'm sticking with XP because I have over 13,000 MP3s that I'm constantly adding to files. I have a lot of experience with Audacity, so at least for me it wasn't a problem. I also play several musical instruments and enjoy recording and looping what I play. I also have a Raspberry Pi-3 and a Linux…

Good headphone sound quality but buggy/unreliable microphone

As a simple USB DAC for output (i.e. computer/device sound is played through headphones), this device works quite well. The frequency response is pretty good, but that's no surprise given that CMedia's chipsets do a good job, given that the company has had almost two decades to finalize its chips. However, the problems started with the input (i.e. the microphone). Testing conducted using MacBook Air (2017 model), OS X 10.14.6 and Sennheiser GAME ONE headset with built-in microphone. Most…
