Very durable and easy to install

I bought 3 of these for my shop. I love it. Wings on either end make it easy to screw to workbenches, countertops, etc. I've never been able to attach other strips that have slots in the back. They never seem really strong. This solves this problem. Note that there are indentations on both ends of the wings that you will need to drill out, but this is very easy.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • No mold required

Good, with two minor complaints

I installed this power strip in the front of my workbench as a convenient place to plug in tools. I like the metal box; it is strong and durable. The tabs are handy for assembly, but they must be drilled for the screws first. Large gauge power cord, the perfect length to reach the socket behind the bench. Edit: I've found that the plugs on some of my tools are thick and interfere with nearby outlets. I wish there was a little more space between the sockets in the box.

Great for Garages: Accessories & Supplies

Was looking for a 'commercial' outlet extender for my garage to extend the only outlet in the entire garage which is in an odd location. It caught my attention with the steel body and the right extended length. I am currently using it to connect all lawn chargers for my new Ego electric lawn mowers and all my new Ryobi power tools. The main problem I have is that all the sockets are packed so close together. At a time when splitters are separating connectors for all connector types, this truly…

Perfect for Multicade Build

Multicade is a brand new, old-school arcade machine featuring a computer board that contains 60 or more "classic" games, plus a modern LED monitor and depending on your configuration. , amplifier. It was PERFECT to install in my cockpit to power the monitor, amp and overhead light. However, I didn't need the 9 foot power cord since the power supply for the board has a 110 ohm outlet and its own 6 foot AC cord. I'll probably take it apart and shorten the power cord to about 2ft - void the…

Good unit with dedicated 15A circuit breaker

Good unit with dedicated 15A circuit breaker amps). That is well within the normal range. I think it will still trip at say 16-18 amps, but it needs to be a constant load (current) over time to generate the heat needed to trip the circuit breaker. but that's what it's there for. ie protect cables (from heat build-up) Pay particular attention to the alignment of the sockets on the plugs. Look at the picture and see if it suits you. can be expected. The cable is heavy enough for most…

Beautiful workmanship, real metal.

I only buy this and other Tripp-Lite/SLWaber metal power strips. Firstly, the case is made of metal, which, unlike plastic, does not burn when heated from electrical overload. The cord and plug that came with the extension cord are strong and heavy and the plug has good strong pins to fit securely into the socket. The cable is good and also long. The sockets on an extension cord are individual sockets and not the cheap brass strip that runs the length of cheaper extension cords. Simply put…

Sturdy and reliable, that's how splitters should be made.

This expansion is a tank. Between a thick cable and a metal structure with its own switch, this is an example of how splitters should be made. These cheap plastic parts from the electronics department are "rated for 15 amps" and are a potential fire hazard. This thing isn't going to work any better, no, but here's an example. Your child will find an extension cord to move the heater anywhere and it plugs into a 20A circuit; The plastic strip can melt and possibly start a fire. This will either…

This is a well made product. Tripp Lite

Made from durable materials with a heavy duty metal body. The sockets are placed close together to save space, which I like. The switch is covered to prevent accidental triggering and is easily accessible when triggering is required. The cord is 14 gauge three conductor cord with a 15 amp circuit breaker mounted on the metal body of the extension. I love every Tripp Lite product I buy in my life. I plugged the Tripp Lite into a 20 amp outlet with a circuit breaker. I then have an extension cord

Better sound quality than surge protectors in the same price range

This review is mainly about the sound quality of this 5 way power divider. When I plugged in my 1991 Panasonic portable CD player, the SL-NP1A, along with the sadly discontinued Audio-Technica ATH-T200 headphones (see in all three dimensions, each instrument's unique timbres became brighter, the dynamic contrast was more dramatic, bass, mids and treble were vastly improved, and the tempo, beat and rhythm had me pounding my computer desk and touching my feet.It was a definite sonic improvement…
