The shorts are thin and light weight which is perfect since the day temperatures are still in the 80s where live and into the 100s during summer.He likes them a bit on the longer side and said the fabric nice and they are comfortable. The also have pockets and draw string / elastic waist.These are medium (10-12). He’s has some room to grow since he’s almost 9 and normal build. He really likes the dark teal color.

Very nice set of shorts, it is great that they come with 2 pairs of black. My son has been getting more and more into name brand clothes, so we try to get cheaper bottoms with no logos, these were perfect. He says they are very comfortable and move well with him when playing basketball. He wears them under his joggers on the way to his sports classes. Nice slim fit, stitching was good, over all a nice set of athletic shorts.

Nice quality and love the bulk pack. I got size small. I knew going in these were going to be big on my boy who’s 6. I think the Xsmalls would have been ideal right now for him. He’s 46” 40lbs. We have a ton of shorts that fit him now, I wanted something for the future to have. Anyway, nice color & no color fade after wash, these do have drawstrings that can be tighten the waistband.

So, an extra-small is really about a size 6-8. I say that b/c of the length of the legs and the drawstring--it will be a little big on a 6, just right on a 7, and a probably getting a little short in length/tight in belly around a size 8. These shorts are made from a very comfortable, flowy fabric. The colors look great, and the pockets are a good size. The shorts themselves, however, are sized too large. My son usually wears a youth large, but these were significantly too big for him, even when using the drawstring in addition to the elastic waist band. Our 6 year old plays basketball and soccer, and he just flies through athletic shorts. This 5 pack was perfect to scoop up for him so he has a clean pair to wear when mom is just a litttttttle behind on laundry. My 6 & 8 year old boys wear shorts non-stop at home. I have to fight them to wear pants, even when it's snowing outside.These polyester shorts are perfect - they don't wrinkle, shrink or fade. I bought these for my son. He normally wears a size 8/10. They fit me and I’m 5’7” 145 lbs. I bought an XL thinking that he’d be able to fit in them now and then next summer. That said, they are very well made and the fabric is comfortable. The string in the front is a nice bonus.
