🧊 Insulated Body Bottle 500 by Ultimate Direction Review

It's quite comfortable to wear on a belt and as long as you remember to press the valve it won't leak. Plenty of water for a moderate weather 10 mile run.

I have both UD body bottles and prefer these. The insulation keeps it a little cooler and doesn't add bulk. This bit valve is better for me.

I've tried about a dozen different long distance running bottles and this is my favorite so far. This is my favorite out of all the UD options and other top brands.

Due to the thickness of the water bottle, it does not fit properly in my Ultimate Direction Vest. In the picture you can see the difference between the original 500ml bottle that came with the vest and the new 500ml vacuum bottle. After a few sips of water, you'll be better able to tighten it up in your vest.

It's a little bigger than I wanted for my UD barrel strap so I put less in it. The wide opening should be for adding ice; however, the bottle neck makes this bottle very difficult to use on the treadmill and is also a bit awkward. Has a push-pull closure in the valve plus bite flow control, both work well. Good product just not what I really need.

This bottle can keep drinks cold a little longer than a traditional soft bottle, but the difference is negligible and not worth the ultra-premium price. Even filling this bottle mainly with ice does not extend the shelf life of the cold drink. I give them 2 stars as the wide opening is nice for ice, powder and liquids; bite valve works well; and it's free of the leakage problems I often encounter with traditional soft bottles.
