Ultimate Hoof Pick Jackhammer Blue Review

I doubted there would be much of a difference between this and regular hoof sets, but I'm so glad I was wrong. It's much easier to use for increasingly arthritic hands.

I have the Original Ultimate Hoof Pick and I need a smaller one for smaller hoof areas and smaller hooves. I'm just as happy with the small as with the big one. I've tried other picks that I didn't really like. They work very well on the hooves of draft horses.

Excellent selection of hooves. My horse had thrush which prompted me to clean and treat his hooves daily for several weeks. At first I just had one of those little metal hooks with no grip and little leverage. The Equine Ultimate Hoof Pick JackHammer JR did it. Made my life so much easier. I was able to clean the cracks in his jet thoroughly and quickly. I would buy again and recommend The Jackhammer Jr.

I've had horses for 40 years. This is the ONLY hoof brush that can easily remove the sticky clay mud from my horses hooves. It is strong, so you need to be more careful not to damage horses' hooves, which can leave dents for infection to grow. When used with proper care, there's simply no other hoof you'll ever want to use. Note: I need a small (junior) size for my normal sized women's hands!

I've used quite a few hooks in my time. I even have a larger version of this choice, but this is my current favorite. Why? Super comfortable to hold, perfect size for medium or small hands and very comfortable. The end of the pickaxe is slightly narrower than the larger version and sharp enough to remove the densest, caked, caked dirt and debris from a horse's hoof.
