Best Hoof Choice

This is the best hoof choice I've ever come across. I have arthritis in my hands so I need a good grip. And my mare picks up stones with her feet between the frog and the horseshoe heel, another brand of pick got bent trying to get a 1.5 inch stone out of her hoof. A friend of mine had a Jr version of this pick and it came out and didn't bend. Actually, the pick is stainless steel and the pick shafts go the length of the grip. Very well done, I have this large size in my shed and the younger…

My favorite discovery!

Where has that pickaxe been all my life?! I discovered this pickaxe when someone left theirs in my barn and oh my god it's AMAZING! My horse's hooves stay pretty clean, but when dirt gets on them I have problems with other pimples I have. Before I get it I have one of those thin, strong picks that hurt your hands, a horseshoe with a brush that bends when you're trying to remove dried mud, and finally a horseshoe with a comfortable grip that bends too with dirt. None of that is a problem with…

The BEST and LAST horseshoe you will ever need!

I am a professional blacksmith with 21 years of experience. I bought my first ultimate hook about 15 years ago. It's the one on the left in the picture. Thousands upon thousands of hooves day in and day out, you can see I'm about half an inch worn down. Hands down the best tool ever! Dung picks don't give you the leverage to clean this frog. Works on rock hard mud, snowpack, horse manure, wedged rocks and so on. Makes my work easier. The problem is that they make this product so well that if…

Sturdy, well made, no hoof scraper on top and sides of hooves

Great construction, just wish they had a side/top hoof edge. The tool does not have a blade for scraping the outside/side of the hoof, nor does it come with any type of brush. Works great between frog areas, very durable and well made. PLEASE NOTE: If you enjoyed this review please give it a thumbs up/like, you help me continue to provide an honest/unbiased view of the products I have used. and you may have questions about Are you interested in a product but don't know enough about it and want…

Comfortable and durable

This is a great choice for hooves! After going through a few, we vote this one as the best. It is very durable and shows no signs of imminent failure after years of use, unlike other picks that break down over time. The cutout makes it easy to hang on the wall, and the bright yellow color makes it easy to find if it falls off. It's extremely comfortable to use and we get less hand fatigue, which is important since we're in our 60s. Finally, the shape of the blade makes selection quick and easy.
