Ultimate Protection: LifeProof FRE Waterproof Case For IPhone 13 Pro Max & IPhone 12 Pro Max - BLACK Review

This review is for life proof themselves not the seller! I am a diehard life proof case consumer as I have had several of them in the past one of them even went in a canal for 30 minutes and came out working fine, however, I got a new life proof case for my iPhone 13 and they are made much cheaper and I would not trust this in water anymore very disappointed! I know they say on the website they are going greener, but they are just going cheaper.

The plug that covers the charging port broke off after very little use. It is only a small piece, but renders the case incapable of performing the task I purchased it to perform… I paid less than half for another case that is still fully intact after over a year of use. I don’t recommend this product. Which is sad because I like the camera protection better than the other case. This case also makes it hard for the face recognition to work a lot of the time. I have had a lifeproof on every iPhone I’ve owned, from my first iPhone 5 to now my 13 Pro Max. This is the first one I feel they really dropped the ball on. Screen protectors get so easily smudged that the camera quality is poor, and Face ID rarely works. The hundreds of "dots” on the screen are very distracting. While the case itself is very protective of your phone, the cons make this case unbearable to have. I would have a hard time recommending this case to anyone.

I normally love life proof but they changed the packaging to be more eco friendly and the cases got damaged because it did not have the durability of the hard plastic to keep them from getting smashed

Far from what they used to be. Had an FRE case on my old iPhone 8 Plus for 4+ years with no real issues. On the 13 pro max, the screen isnt responsive at all , have to press hard. The mute switch was very stiff and small making it hard to use and call quality was greatly reduced. Had high hopes after using them for the last 4+ years, maybe they’ll make a revision and I’ll try again but for now it’s a no go

I used to love the LifeProof FRĒ series and I still do for some models but the iPhone 13 pro max FRĒ has been a disappointment. Dust somehow enters the case and I’ve ignored it until it affected my photos. Then I took the case off to clean and I couldn’t believe how much debris enters the sealing portion of the case. I need the protection but am very surprised by the lack of quality from this model.

They are the phoniest and worst company I've ever had to deal with in my 43 years of existence! Twice now my adult son and I have purchased their product, and have not heard once back from them with our issues. To keep it short.my son just recently purchased a $90 case, and they sent the wrong one. He has tried numerous attempts to contact them via email, phone call, etc. for months now. Same quality I’ve come to expect from lifeproof! Every iPhone I’ve owned spent its’ life in one of these. Only gripes I have about this case (fre - iPhone 13 pro max) screen protector seems to smudge up more easily than past cases and causes problems with Face ID. And I liked the older charger port covers because they’d flip down and stay out of the way. This one is more like otter box. Peel it out and hold it open to get the cord in. Minor inconveniences. Overall, still a damn good case

the plastic cover doesn't sit flush with the iphone face. Lifeproof quality and attention to detail has severely diminished in the last couple years
