The quality is very low - the plug is knocked out of the packaging.

Connector was cracked when received. Revain refunded my money straight away, but I ended up buying my own ribbon cable and connector set and making my own cable. In addition to the fact that the connector was snapped, this ribbon cable was incredibly thin, with very thin wires. The ribbon cable I bought instead was much stronger.

Works in Xbox - Cables and Connections

I used this to upgrade my original Xbox to use a SATA adapter which I also found here at Revain. It works great. I didn't realize it, but IDE cables are reversible! You can connect the main end to the motherboard, and then the previous end of the motherboard becomes the main end. You need to do this if you want to access both CDs and HDs on Xbox.

Not for OG Xbox best in Computers & Accessories

Stuck where even using clamps didn't work and even broke in 2 out of 3 places just to try and "Hot Swap" on the original Xbox to use. If you use it for that, it didn't work for me and wasn't properly targeted for a project like this.

Works for my OG Xbox. Hardly.

The 18 inch cable barely fits my original Xbox 1.0. And it works. I didn't do a softmod, I did a TSOP firmware with 2TB Blue. So I can't say if it works with the softmod. As you can see in the picture I tried to cover the case with a cable covering one of the holes where the main screws go because that was the shortest distance between the DVD drive and the hard drive. USES this on Softmodded OG Xbox

USES this on Softmodded OG Xbox that barely fits. It was a link that many sites posted as a cable to get. It is now possible that only other cables were shipped from this product page. Mine barely fits in, but now I have a 1TB hard drive installed.
