This is a beautifully designed product but it is very large. A small dog is about the same size as a large one, so you may need an XXS for a small dog like a Chihuahua.

I ordered size XL for my thin, deep chested Doberman. At first I thought they were a little tight but after a few days of wearing they stretched a bit and now they fit her perfectly. She loves them and I have to fight with her to take them off so I can wash them.

If you have a whippet or any other greyhound breed you know they either run around like crazy or lie under the covers on the couch. Even in the summer, our cooper pulls at the ceiling on our couch to get under because of the air conditioning. We bought them for him when he goes potty training in Iowa during the winter.

I was hesitant to buy these because they are slightly larger than our other options. You are fantastic! You won't regret buying them. They are soft, easy to put on and fit perfectly. If you're looking for a full coverage snowsuit, this is it. Our 17lb LhasaPoo boy has very long hair which protects him from the snow and doesn't restrict him.

I think this little snowsuit will suit my Lucy. She weighs 20 pounds. It's 14 inches long so I went with xsmall. He covers it up to the base of the tail. The sleeves are a bit long so I just tucked them in. Sufficiently loose, if necessary, you can throw a sweater underneath. In any case, in the winter she is outside long enough to use the potty. It's very well done.
