Hole saw should be 6 1/4 or 6 5/16

A I think a 6 inch hole saw is recommended for the blade and it won't fit. The hole saw should be 6 1/4 inches. This delay is my project because I need to order the right saw. The supplied hole pattern is exactly 6 5/16".

I definitely recommend these lights

I've been installing downlights as a do-it-yourselfer for at least a decade and have used a few different types of downlights. This is by far the prettiest and easiest to use. The lights are flush mounted to the ceiling as if they were part of the ceiling. it is just beautiful. I am ordering more for future modelling. I definitely recommend them.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Low repairability

Lightweight and great light!

We used them to update some of the old light fixtures in our basement. We installed them in a grid pattern in a drop down ceiling tile. They weigh next to nothing and literally took about 5 minutes to come to light. We are fortunate that they fit into the existing cut out for the old fixtures we replaced. The light is perfect and shines well. We bought more than we needed so when the bulbs finally stopped working we could just turn on the new light.

Solid 4.5 Stars - Body and Moldings

We are very satisfied with this product. I'm an electrician and have installed a few of these. They have all the qualities of more expensive devices at a great price. Solid 4.5 stars. The only thing I would like to change is a slightly larger decorative edge. The lamp is supplied with a hole template. Make sure you don't overlap or the light doesn't completely cover the hole. I recommend using a light weight hole saw to make holes. Given the well-cut holes, you won't find a better value for…

Lots of light and no hum with dimmer

Easy installation. The junction box cover isn't very secure, so I wrapped it with a small amount of electrical tape. A template with a perfectly sized paper hole. I used a dremel with a circular cutter. The springs hold the lights firmly to the ceiling, nice and flush. They dim very well and don't hum or flicker when using the Lutron dvwcl-153ph-2-wh purchased here from Revain. My lights are 4.5 feet apart and 16 inches from the top cabinets, providing plenty of light. Virtually no shadows on…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No performance

If you plan to add a dimmer now or in the future, DO NOT BUY these bulbs. There is a serious problem if at least 2 of the 6 dimmers shown are compatible. They should not be advertised as "dimmable". Our licensed electrician spent enough time using 2 compatible dimmers but none of them worked properly. If you turn the light on with the dimmer at any level below 50%, the light will either not turn on or will flash like strobe lights. While the light is off you need to increase the dimmer above…

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes

Doesn't work well with dimmer (LUTRON DVCL-153P)

First pros: great price, fantastic light, easy to install. Bad: Description of dimmer compatibility is not entirely accurate. I have installed seven lamps connected to a LUTRON DVCL-153P dimmer which is on the recommended dimmer list and there are two problems with the light turning off AFTER it has been dimmed: 1. If the light pre the power off is reduced to about 50% , it is more does not turn on. GENERAL. You have to turn off their dimming to turn them on and then dim them back down to…

Easy install, bright white

I am renovating my basement and wanted recessed lighting for a modern look. I learned that this type of light exists when there is a thin disc of LED powered by a small driver built into the drywall. The 6 inch light offers a good amount of even light, I have the 5000k version which is 'true' white. 4000k is more of a yellow-white light while 2700k/3000k is a warm yellow light. Personally I think that all ceiling lighting should be 5000K and lamps can be used at night with a 2700K to 4000K…
