Helps lose some weight.

I remember hiking when my backpack started at over 60 pounds! Yes, 60 pounds and up on one ride. Over time, with some modifications, my typical starting weight will be around 45 pounds, which I find perfectly acceptable. Over the decades, I realized that even when I was in good shape, my joints weren't as forgiving as they used to be, and the only way to make those wilderness rides comfortable was with the weight to reduce significantly. We did really well and had a lot of fun. This is a guidebook, so basic knowledge is assumed. The author refers the reader to another of his books to…

Very funny and useful book

This book is very funny and has a lighthearted approach. You will laugh throughout the book. A few tips I want to draw your attention to. #4 An aluminum can of cat food pulled from the trash makes an efficient, lightweight cooker. We're sorry? The Super Cat (yes, I built one) is light, but I wouldn't call it efficient, especially when it comes to fuel economy. A standard Supercat burns 1/4 cup of alcohol in 12 minutes. There are much more economical ovens on the market and you can find DIY…
