    Good quality shorts just made of thinner material

    My sons wear a medium (8-10) so they are too big for him at the moment when we try them on. This is a thinner material, if you look closely at my photo you can see the chair through the shorts. This is a thin material, lightweight, comfortable shorts. I would say more for sports than for everyday school life.

    Great lightweight shorts!

    My two little boys love Under Armor and are mostly dressed head to toe. Where we live the weather has been too cool to wear the UA Maquina 2.0 Shorts outdoors, but they have found widespread use indoors, including in my son's soccer league. These are pretty standard kids basketball shorts. The waist has an elastic closure (no drawstring). Oddly enough, there are no pockets in the shorts, but this is not an essential feature for the sport. The material is very stretchy and thin but generally…

    Pleasant in my rating

    The shorts fit my small and chubby 11 year old very well. He says they're comfortable and he likes them. At first he wasn't sure how they felt when touched, but he quickly got used to them and was happy with them.

    Under Armor is a great brand. My son wears Under Armor almost exclusively. He is very happy with these shorts. They have good side pockets and hold up well to being washed and dried with heat. They are true to size and look great.

    Favorite of my sporty 8 year old

    My eight year old son loves them. He says they are comfortable. He wears them to basketball and football. you look cool You wash well. They are durable. I would recommend them.

    Nice design, good material, HeatGear technology

    These shorts feature HeatGear technology. HeatGear helps regulate body temperature to stay cool, dry and light. I love the HeatGear piece, the design, the material and the logo on the shorts. I have compared them to shorts from another brand and they are comparable in size. Unfortunately we live in Minnesota so we'll have to wait until next summer to really test the HeatGear part.

    Just ok my judgment in my head

    Great brand, great feel of these shorts. They are very well made and Under Armor is always loved by my sons. but they were big as he wears them and too small, a little tight and short. or at least shorter than he usually likes. They are the softest ever and the material is so comfy/soft. great color, can be worn with anything.

    He loves her! - my new rating

    I ordered these for my 12 year old son who wears size 10-12 pants. He likes them and says he likes how they feel on his skin. He loves wearing them before bed, hope they still fit in the summer!

    In my opinion too small

    These shorts were listed as Xlarge. I bought them for my son for Christmas. When they were taken out of the box, 8 could tell by the waist and cut that they were too small. I took them to another XL pair and the waist difference is about 1 1/2 inches. I'm very disappointed and it's too late to try to offer him anything else.

    Very thin material, very short.

    I usually love everything about Under Armor but these shorts are way too short, literally! (See what I did there?) The quality was below average. They were very thin and looked cheap. No pockets. The waist had a lot of stretch, but the shorts were very short, coming down about an inch above my son's knee. For the record, my son is 8 years old, 4ft 5in and usually wears medium sized clothes. Wouldn't recommend it.

    Good shorts - no pockets.

    I love the look of these shorts but wish they had pockets. Some nice features: drawstring waist and heating technology. The fabric is light. The fabric looks thin but doesn't show. The large size fit my 8 year old nephew but they were a bit big. I think a medium size would fit him perfectly. There is no size chart above, so it is difficult to understand. I've attached a photo of the size chart from the UA website.

    These Under Armor Boys Youth Maquina 2.0 football shorts are lightweight and effectively wick moisture away from my son when he's active in them. I have them in Youth Large and my 10 year old son fits perfectly in them (he is a size 12 in youth sizes).
