Comfortable but I wouldn't call them super warm, there are patterned gaps between the insulation that allow light to be clearly seen through and cold air to be felt. I wear them indoors in winter fall/spring outside.

5'4" 175 lbs. Ordered XL first because I'm always between sizes and worried about pants because I have thicker legs and calves. The material is very comfortable, soft, stretchy and opaque (can be worn as leggings without showing underwear). I ended up going up a size and they fit great and aren't too tight.

Bought these to wear under fleece lined hunting trousers. I wanted warmth without the added bulk. The weight is comfortable and not too thick. Under Armor suits my body type well. I will be using them during hunting season this winter. So at this point I can't tell you how well they will perform in 30 degree or lower weather conditions.

I have spent a lot of time finding athletic wear that fits well and flatters curvy girls. These leggings are AMAZING in that regard and also how warm they are! I wore them for a turkey lynx when it was 5 degrees outside with a cold wind hot factor. And I didn't freeze and I didn't die! They were on sale when I bought them so I feel like I won some kind of lottery. I highly recommend them.

This is a great thick base layer if you run in freezing or sub-freezing temperatures. I'm a bit stubborn and wore them in a fever. out of -1 in -14 wind under another pair of tights and ran 5 miles. I bought a pair of these last year and only wore them a couple of times because it wasn't that cold last winter, but this year it's a lot colder and I needed a second pair.
