Making science fun best in my review

This was a big hit with my 5 year old grandson. But did have to order "lab assistant" outfit for his sister. [What was I thinking!]

Pros
  • Simple instructions, easy to do with kids, the kids loved being hands on with so many experiments!
Cons
  • Some experiments may not yield the expected results

My 4 year old LOVES it!

Got this for my daughter for her 4th birthday and as soon as she opened this all other gifts were forgotten! The few things we have done from the book are perfect for her age with a littles help. She also loves all the accessories (lab coat, safety glasses, tweezers, magnifying glass, etc) and now wants to do science all the time!

  • Great gift for children. I prefer to give children educational gifts and this was Great for the money

Educational, Lots of experiments, amazing gift for a young scientist, Quality OK

This is one of the best educational gifts we gave our 5 year old! It comes with a cute lab coat and goggles and my child is over the moon playing scientist! There are SOOO many easy experiments to perform and the tools in the set make it so fun to measure and mix things! My child is learning measuring and units of measurements using test tubes, droppers and beakers. Each experiment is written up in an easy to understand way. Only reason I am giving 4 stars is that you need to be able to explain

It's not age appropriate because

The coat is a bit cheap but you do pay for what you get. as science kits go ot has quite a bit of stuff in it although I haven't used anything with my son yet so can't tell you how it works

The basic science experiments

I have a 1 and 2 yr. Old and they love it. Some may say it’s too soon for them but the experiments are manageable for they age once you look through the book and find what is appropriate. So don’t be discouraged if you have smaller ones that don’t fit the age on the box. The mixing of the water colors was fun as well as the ballon experiment and the volcanic one.

Decent gift for little kids, but still leaves much to be desired

Instructions for experiments were very vague and hard to follow. Have to have a lot of your own equipment/ingredients at home. Measuring spoons were way off- the "tablespoon" was easily 3 times the amount as a regular tablespoon. That meant when we used their measurements, we ran out of ingredients and couldn't do some of the other experiments. It's a decent set to have your kids play around with and feel "sciency", but the experiments themselves aren't great.

  • The item came on time. My granddaughter loves it. Will buy again.
Cons
  • The book was not very helpful! It was cheap and not fun!

Missing the white scientist jacket.

Wish the glasses could be adjusted to fit to each kids face. They run large. The white jacket is also missing from the package. Kids love this set. Keeps them busy for hours.

  • Grandson loves all the different experiments and love to watch him learn

Poorly designed and written. CHEAP, lacks value.

The instructions were not proofread by anyone that speaks the language and frankly not by anyone who wanted to put out a good product. Teaspoons and Tablespoon measurements are included but the instructions say "spoon".Especially dumb is the phrase "according to the scientific principle of magic color-changing". Wow the science of magic!Get something that has National Geographic brand on it if you want a better chance at quality.

Career Day best in my review

My son loves it. It’s all he wants to play with at the moment. I got it for his career day. Awesome gift and age appropriate.
