📶 Enhanced Uniden BATG-0481001 AT218 Antenna for Optimal Performance with Most Handheld Scanners - 800MHz Review

I bought a pair of these to add to my scanner as I was having trouble picking up in a department that is right on the edge of the pickup area. works perfectly.

The antenna was listed as a replacement for my Bearcat scanner. My scanner number was listed so I ordered it and when it arrived the coax fitting was the wrong size.

This is the first BNC antenna I have ever had when connected to a device. I had to make a gasket to keep the antenna from hanging on the scanner. Very disappointed! I advise against buying this antenna.

I have long suspected that my original antenna has poor reception. This immediately improved reception on my scanner. I'm much better at picking up weaker signals. It fits my Radio Shack Pro-89 scanner like a glove!

I'm glad I went with this version and not the unnamed one. The quality is excellent and the reception excellent. A few extra bucks for it on top of the nameless, well worth it. This is a very well built and attractive antenna and I was impressed with the signals received.
