It does what it promises. It charges the battery. However, he wants the battery (or at least mine, which is the standard battery) to be removed from the radio. It was weird because it looked like he could handle it over the radio. Adjusting the plastic pieces that guide the battery (and now the radio) allows the radio to stay connected. This charger works well. It will probably be ready a little sooner than the original Motorola charger, ie 90% charge versus the original charger's 95% charge, but that's quite enough for a good day's work.
