I bought 2 of these resonators to replace a straight exhaust pipe from a civilian I just bought. The shop gave me a fully customized 2 resonator exhaust and it sounded better, it's still too loud for me because of my annoying neighbors but they did the job of muffle the sound

Fit a 2.5" (diameter) x 12" (length) resonator to my 2012 Mk6 GTI with DSG gearbox. I removed the muffler and replaced the factory resonator with this aftermarket resonator (there's a stock downpipe too). I have to say it really works. This deepened the sound of the exhaust and eliminated the harsh sound of the 4 cylinder engine. Too quiet for my liking but it does the job lol. Minimal drone, so I'm very happy

If you want to emphasize the V8's inherent low-end tone, this is your blueberry. Provides a nice cold start tone as well as a great low-end bass growl. At freeway speeds it shuts off immediately, so you don't hear that annoying hum that many other resonators or cat removers produce. I love it because I can have my V8 repaired while cruising around town and when I'm driving long distances on the freeway I have perfect comfort for my ears! Not for a 16-year-old who wants an explosive factory…
