These had a weird smell outta the package. I washed them very thoroughly and they are fine now. I can tell they will work fine.

I got these because I wanted a re-useable strainer bag to make jelly juice. So far, I have used it twice for grape jelly. It is sturdy, easy to clean and holds a ton of mashed grapes. I know this is for larger operations such as wine and beer, but for small batches of foods, it works great.

I bought this for brewing beer, but I have found that it is great for making chicken broth. Fill a pot with water, insert the bag with all ingredients inside and cook for any length of time - then just pull the bag out and you have clear broth.

Nice and sturdy. It’s sturdy enough that it can get pressed with significant force with breaking. The mesh is pretty fine so no chunks get through. Best part is it’s pretty simple to clean out once done. Very happy.

Used for one day of cold pressing apple cider. Bags are a good size and strained cider well. Unfortunately they developed small holes after 4 presses that only got bigger afterwards. Disappointed in that outcome. They did clean up easily enough, though permanently discolored. Not sturdy enough to use for another day of cider making.

I used these to make veggie stock with our veggie scraps. I should have realized how large they are, but I made it work with the drawstring! They were super easy to use and really sturdy. The kept the stock super clean and free of any leftovers veggie or seasonings. Cleaning them was super easy too.

I was surprised at the good quality of the material and how easy it was to clean. A great mesh bag for lots of straining jobs.
