You get what you pay for here. It will .

You get what you pay for here. It will spit the balls across the table, but you won't get much variety and it will occasionally send the balls into the net or long. I also had to put a towel underneath it because the vibrations caused by having the spin action high enough to make it over the net caused it to rotate off the table. Once setup and tweaked though it will reasonably consistently send topspin balls over and let you work on your stroke and get some exercise. Can't beat it for the…

Pros
  • Very good item, will recommend
Cons
  • Prone to malfunctions

Good, but not for a seasoned player.

It was very simple to get it going. You just fill out up with balls and plug it in. The difficulty comes with setting it up so that it'll shoot balls into the right spot, with the right spin.To get it to work the way we wanted it to, we used a book as a wedge to tilt the machine up enough to get the ball over the net. Other than that, it works like how it is meant to.

Pros
  • Varied ball throwing settings: The robot offers varied ball throwing settings where you can choose the location, direction, and spin of the ball
Cons
  • Users may outgrow it quickly

I got this iPong robot about a month ago. Since then I have used it about 12 times and every time it has been a painful experience. It will either spit out the ball right into the table(without any pace), or it would hit the net consecutively. I load it with 50 balls and it is inaccurate on 30 balls out of 50. I first thought i was placing it incorrectly or not calibrating it properly with the remote. But turns out no matter what i do 60% of the balls would always go wayward. It is totally not…

Pros
  • Leisure Sports & Game Room
Cons
  • Limited warranty coverage

Great product, get a net

Excellent training product. I have used it a few times, pretty consistent balls. Great for improving forehand and backhand push. Will need very spinny racket for slams. Spins are consistent.

Pros
  • good for beginners to practice returning back spin and top spin.very good little machine
Cons
  • Limited training customization

Just an OK training robot

Not really good for training. We tried to adjust the length and speed, it worked OK but it's not consistent. i'm not returning it because my son thinks it's fun. So, if you use it as a toy or just to spend time, it's nice. Otherwise, if you want to have it for training, i believe you need to look for a better one.

Pros
  • Does what it's supposed to do for a great price.
Cons
  • Inconsistent speed, direction, and velocity. Value is equal to the $77 I paid for it.

Bought this three years ago in May 2015. I was headed back to grad school and desperately needed a fun activity to do at home when I wasn't stressing out over studying. I mean, enough already with noodling around on the Internet! And this little buddy, Mr. iPong, has been well worth it the modest price. I haven't given it five stars because it's not a perfect machine. But at its price, it's a real value and amortized over time worth a good deal more than I paid for it. You can't and shouldn't…

Pros
  • Hours of practice. Very good.
Cons
  • Requires constant supervision

Just "Okay " on my review.

As other reviews note, the iPong Robot is not a full featured machine, lacking oscillation. Further, it's difficult to adjust ball flight and speed across a full range of spins. The Chaofan 36, which costs slightly more than twice as much, is much easier to adjust for speed, spin and flight, and also offers oscillation. However, the plus of the IPong Robot is that you simply set the base of the machine on the table, load with balls, and you're ready to go. The Chaofan 36 requires attaching the…

Good machine: my feedback

If you are interested in improving your Ping Pong skills, this machine is highly recommended. Functions as advertised. Loads of fun.

Pros
  • Fun and engaging: The variety of ball throwing settings will make your training sessions fun and engaging, making it easier for you to maintain your training regimen
Cons
  • Potential for repetitive strain injury with prolonged use

works great for me. New model just came out 2016!

I guess about 3 out of 10 people get a lemon. I was fortunate and got a good one. It works great. Unfortunately I just realized that they just came out with new and improved model that rotates. Timing is everything.

Pros
  • Table tennis robot for training without a partner
Cons
  • A single unit cannot accommodate multiple players

Fun for a short while.

We purchased the product for my husband for father's day. I worked and he was happy. 5 month later the system locked up. Very sad, things should be made to last more then 5 months.

Pros
  • This was a huge hit for my sister's family. I loved using it as much as the boys....
Cons
  • Not suitable for advanced players
