Their listing says they own the patent so they can make the device cheaper. That has to be true, because while it costs a lot less than many similar devices on Revain, it works great with my iPhone 6s. And it worked when I first set it up and tried it, no problem. Too cool! I have an Android phone and you can use voice commands to take a picture or start a video recording (sometimes lol) but they don't give you the option to stop the video!
