That has to be true, because while it costs a lot less than many similar devices on Revain, it works great with my iPhone 6s. And it worked when I first set it up and tried it, no problem. I designed and built a small wooden pedal to package this little thing because I use it to record my violin and viola performances and I wanted to be able to start and stop the recording without moving the instrument or to file. The pedal is a small piece of sanded and rounded plywood, the rails are glued on, a small piece of beveled dowel holds the clicker and provides a bit of height so the pedal is slightly tilted, and a smaller piece of dowel with a rubber band glued on. the tip activates the device. The piece of metal snaps into place to hold the item in place when placed right side up. Blue spray paint was the inspiration! Of course, you can always use just your thumb.
