Works best in PCV valves

Received this part on my mechanic's recommendation as an option if my VW valve fails. It was easy to install and a good price compared to the local dealer.

  • Ok

This one works: PCV valves

This part arrived in 2 days as advertised on my 2006 A8 (200,000+ miles). Installation took less than 5 minutes. A month on my car and no problems.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Short manual

Five stars on PCV valves

Failure after 9 months of very rare use. Probably < 3000km. Edit: This valve was thought to be the problem, but turns out that wasn't the case. Disassembled, seems ok. It's a very simple thing and would probably last like any other.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • So-so

Works great!

The Passat had numerous misfires. I poked around a bit, the old valve leaked a lot and bled out a lot of air. It arrived quickly, was easy to install and now it works great! Note. You may want to save extra clamps, since normal ones are practically destroyed when removed.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • exorbitant price

Works great, factory fitted

I bought this for my Audi. While the factory mount is smoother (it doesn't use rubber o-rings), with a bit of lube it will fit the factory mount perfectly. This didn't cause a CEL so I give it a thumbs up. If you're on a budget or don't want to pay for an OEM part, that's fine.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Almost never

Perfect fit, erased too lean codes

I've had codes popping up on both sides for a too lean system after spending a while repairing a 2002 2.8 liter Passat Wagon used for scrap should be recycled. When I opened the old valve, the rubber had shot through and torn in several places. Reinstall this part. Now she's purring and no codes, inspection passed as well!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Good out of the box. hunk is gone Update: It's back

I've had it for two weeks and the 'beep' is gone. I replaced the original PCV valve on my Touareg as a PM with 110k. I'm glad because the inner membrane ruptured in two places. But the Meyle computer I installed instead started beeping a few days after installation. I played with the Meyle block but couldn't stop it. Almost bought an OEM but tried this uro part for 1/3 the retail price. Two weeks later no beeps but I will update this review if anything changes. 4 stars because the exteriorโ€ฆ

Cheap replacement with decent quality

I own a workshop specializing in Audi. While many of my clients insist on using OE or branded parts (which are usually OEM) such as Meyle, Febi, Bosch, Lemforder etc., others still have budget constraints, especially when deferred maintenance rears its ugly head and several things need to be done immediately be replaced. In my experience, URO branded parts are random - some are good, some just aren't. However, this part is of fairly good quality and costs less than half the price of a genuineโ€ฆ
