Inexpensive and valuable tools

Great set of 3 brushes for applying gesso to canvas. Cheap but not cheap, they are easy to clean and last a long time with good care. Dry them horizontally at the same time. They are made of synthetic hair and fall out a bit, but nothing special at this price point. I also like to paint with them, they create an even base when needed. You can also make nice and wide strokes.

Pros
  • Bristle lengths from 1-1/2" to 1-7/8"
Cons
  • A few little touches

Hair falls out easily

The first time I used the largest of the 3 acrylic paints, some hairs came out when I painted the background and I had to select them and paint over the area again, which is annoying and time consuming . . Even when I wanted to clean the brush, the paint didn't wash off easily. I couldn't get rid of the blue color completely so it's still stuck in the brush which hopefully won't mess up my next color.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Minor things

Rusted right away. Uneven bristles.

I know it's not that expensive but I've bought similar brushes for the same price and never had a problem. I used them 5 or 6 times to varnish paintings. The bristles are uneven, like they're being held at different angles in the brush, so it's difficult to get perfectly even pressure and I tend to see streaks. I have never left them in the water, only washed straight for the brushes and there is already rust around the base of the bristles. Also, they don't wash well; They get really "crunchy"

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Good brushes but one was damaged

I bought these brushes to prepare wooden frames for acrylic painting. In general, the brushes have a nice texture and are smooth, except for the smallest one, which left ugly scratches on the primer. On closer inspection, I noticed that the bristles were glued together a bit hard on the inside and slightly yellowed (see photo). It looks awful but I think/hope it's just the glue used to install the bristles in the handle. This rendered this brush useless, which is disappointing as I needed this…

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
