USB Extension Cable 10 Ft Review

It has been 8 months since I bought these chargers and I have thrown away all but one. They just stop working for unknown reasons which is very annoying because they look like they should be of great quality. The braided nylon feels strong, but something about the charging tip must be very fragile. Now I literally have a spare charger and have to buy it again (obviously a different brand). Don't waste your money and time on this.

God I'm sick of being ripped off by unscrupulous salespeople. I bought 2 packs of these USB extension cables and neither of them work with a USB device - in my case they are Oculus Rift sensors. The devices work fine when plugged directly into my PC, but when I try to use one of these cables I get a "USB device not recognized" message on the computer. They're good for charging a battery-powered device with a USB port, but otherwise they're a waste of money.

I have several security IP cameras that don't support PoE (lame!) end, but the barrel connector is different and not very long. Instead of replacing this cable and hoping I can connect one in the same way as the probably non-standard cable, I decided to extend the USB end of the power cord. stuck them on my cameras, everything worked without problems. I haven't tried running any data through them.

There are always times when you need a USB extension cable and I've only had one that I always had to "borrow from Peter to pay Pavel". There's not much to say about that. They are of great value and work as expected. I would be concerned about using a 3m USB extension cable with smaller power adapters, but I plugged them into a powered USB hub and have no problem using a keyboard and mouse in a large room. It should be noted that using USB extenders can be problematic depending on what is being used and which USB port or adapter is being used. With any cable, the voltage drops as it gets longer.
