No USB Cables - Cables and Connections

This does not work at all with the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex. It turns on the light on the device, but is not recognized or validated by the computer. waste of money.

Pros
  • Worth the Money
Cons
  • Upgrades

Terrible quality of computer accessories and peripherals

Bad bending can render it unusable. I wish I hadn't bought it. Also, it's too small. So if you like to use your laptop on the bed, you also have to take your hard drive with you. I would recommend using stronger and longer cables.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • No mold required

Doesn't work with USB cables

As mentioned in other comments when plugged into a hard drive it acts as a power cable and turns on the lights but the PC/Laptop will not recognize your hard drive. Please also note that this product cannot be returned or refunded, so please do not fall for this counterfeit product and seller.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Price piggy bank

Doesn't work for me.

I bought this cable to replace the original cable that came with my Seagate external hard drive. It's long and well built. The native cable eventually started to wear out. However, my computer could not recognize it. waste of money.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

So it looks like the drive isn't good after all

I had a GoFlex external hard drive that suddenly stopped working and I thought it could be the cable and not on the drive. The price was right so I figured it would be worth a try before buying a new drive. The cable works because the light on the drive comes on, so it looks like the drive isn't good after all. I don't think it's the seller's fault. One thing I wanted to mention is that this is described as a 5 foot cable, but the one I received is only about a foot long. While it didn't really

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Sturdy, I love it

I am so impressed with this USB connector cable. I lost my original and actually used two I bought from a retail store. They were fragile and fragile. It's durable so I know if I don't lose it I'll never have to replace it again.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Factor Set

Will not work with WD hard drives and consoles

If you plan to use them with external hard drives or connect to a gaming console, these cables do not support data transfer as consoles require USB 3.0 speeds. transfers the game, but when connected to WD from a computer, the transfer is not supported.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons

  • New Competitor Available

My old cable powers the drive, but my computer doesn't recognize the drive. I tried switching the cable to this one and it started beeping and blinking. I read on Seagate's support site that this happens when the cable isn't properly powering the drive.

Pros
  • USB 2.0 specification, high-speed data transfer up to 480Mbps

  • Not bad, but...
