Simple product, didn't help in my scenario

I admit maybe I bought them for the wrong scenario didn't help reduce the noise. The product I needed was a ground loop isolator.

Pros
  • Wide application
Cons
  • Only available in white

Too big for a normal headphone cable

A normal headphone cable does not hold tight, the cable slips. I think it should be sealed to prevent radiation going through the cable. Either the smaller 3mm or the looped 6mm would probably work better for headphones.

Pros
  • Improving signal integrity
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Exactly as described they work well

There aren't too many faults with these beads, the clasps work well as long as the cable they attach to is the right gauge, keep going. easy. They are lockable and you may need a small flathead screwdriver to pry them open, but this is required to secure them to the cables after installation.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • unreliable

Too small for category 5e cables

I tried them on category 5e cables and they were too small. The problem seems to be the little pins sticking out of the ferrites. I think the diameter of the round part is sufficient. They're supposed to be 5mm, and I measured the diameter of the ethernet cable to be around 4.7mm, so they should fit. These are small readings, so I'm hesitant to pick on the product too much. I'll save them for smaller cables that might need them.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
