I actually use them to build telescopic LED desk lamps, not as antennas. but they work incredibly well for my purpose.

This was a replacement for the original antenna which had weak metal in the part that attaches to the radio. She fits perfectly. Works well and is significantly stronger than the OEM.

Used replacement props "remote" for the performance. The original antenna broke, as did the first one, but after that we took care of it a lot more and the next one did the rest of the show. Great price for five of them.

Finally a solution for all radios with broken or bent antennas. There seems to be a standard size socket as I was able to fix 3 old radios with it. To make sure the 11cm/4.3inch segment length can fit you. Both of my radios were in the 4.3 to 5 inch range with the antenna closed. For the third segment, a 6 inch length would be better, but if I don't close it all the way it still works fine.
