Start big, get smaller

What about heat shrink tubing? You place it on the item you want to cover and turn on the heat gun. Worked well - shrunk to about half its original size.

Not suitable for 18650

I think this thing works, but it's rated for 18650 batteries and it's too big for that. I put a piece on a small sledgehammer and even then the handle seemed too small for this thing.

This is some cheap shit that seems to crack in some way.

later, that's cheap crap that seems to crack with every wear. After shrinking, it turns into a hardened plastic. However, their double wall adhesive products are very thick, stay soft after shrinking and look like they will last forever. However, this product right here has a very cheap feel to it.
