It was about 1 inch smaller than what I wanted to use but it works. I put it in another house as there was a lot of static electricity in the line. After we changed it, it works great.

Never buy cables from big stores. They are ok, just poorly marked. Never buy cables that are less than 10 feet long. You can always wrap up the excess if needed, but you can never stretch them for the extra foot you eventually need for a good fit. Most of today's setups have to fit into closets and shelves, and narrow cable runs are cumbersome to manage.

I replaced my short phone cord with this new 10ft cord the day after it arrived. I was sad to learn that the cable does not allow the phone to receive calls. I called my home phone (with a new 10ft cord) from my cellphone. I answered my phone at home but it didn't seem to pick up because I could still hear the phone ringing on the receiver and I couldn't hear my voice on my cell phone. I go back to my short wire. :(
